The Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping (2E3S) is preparing its professional courses of the fall: the MOST (Motorways Of The Sea Training) course-workshops for Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French sectors. Highly specialized, these courses offer complete training in intermodal logistics, short sea shipping (SSS) services and the motorways of the sea, as well as give ample opportunities for networking and team building. They will take place on board of a Grimaldi Lines Ro-Pax vessel on the crossing between Civitavecchia (Roma) and Barcelona, one of the principal Motorways of the Sea in Europe.
In 2015, the four courses for professionals have trained more than 100 participants in intermodal logistics and SSS. Following their successes, new editions of each course will take place this fall, focusing on each market’s specificities and aspects. 2E3S will kick off the professional courses with MOST Italy from the 17th to the 20th of September. This will be followed by MOST Barcelona for Spanish professionals between the 22nd to the 25th of October. MOST Portugal, for Portuguese professionals, will take place between the 5th and 8th of November and MOST France from the 26th to the 29th of November.
The courses are limited to 50 places. They are open to a wide range of professional profiles coming from the maritime transport and logistics sector, including freight forwarders, logistics managers, port operations managers, shipping agents, etc. The courses present a unique opportunity for participants to increase their networks and to establish lasting relationships with other professionals and experts of their national sectors.
During the four days, participants will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge that will help them build efficient supply chains that incorporate the motorways of the sea in the future. The will have the opportunity to observe intermodal operations firsthand, throughout a maritime visit of the Port of Barcelona and its infrastructures, and during visits inside the vessel (the bridge, the engine room, and during stowing operations). Through work on a practical case study, the groups will also learn how to elaborate logistics offers.
Each course is sponsored and organised in collaboration with associations and companies within the course countries. They will be carried out by esteemed experts from the Spanish and European sectors, thus guaranteeing the solid and proven educational content to the participants.
