Dutch and Colombian students discover the port of Barcelona with 2E3S

The first week of December 2E3S welcomed two groups of students in Barcelona for a Logistics Port Workshop. 2E3S introduced them to intermodality by introducing the primary modal interchange hub: the port. They discovered the port’s facilities and infrastructures through a maritime visit on board of the Consolat de Mar – a touring vessel of the Port Authority of Barcelona. The groups could thus observe the different terminals, and listen to detailed explanations of ongoing operations.

The first took place on the 2nd of December, and comprised 55 students and four accompanying teachers from the Netherlands Maritime University of Rotterdam. The second group of 29 students from the Icesi University of Cali (Colombia) came on the 5th of December.
