French students discover the Port of Barcelona with 2E3S

The past week the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping (2E3S has organized a one-day course on the Introduction to Intermodality in Barcelona for students coming from Lycee Saint Exupéry – Limoges.


On the Catalan festivity of Saint George (Sant Jordi) – the 23rd of April, 30 students from the French institution travelled to Barcelona to discover the city port’s infrastructures and its commitment to intermodality and short sea shipping.

The Introduction to Intermodality course aims to introduce professionals and students of logistics, transport and international commerce to intermodality, by introducing the primary modal interchange hub: the port. It is eminently practical: a concise visit to the port of Barcelona is carried out, accompanied by detailed explanations of the port infrastructures. The training is then completed by an explanation of the said infrastructures in a classroom environment.
