New technical courses on groupage, ports operations and temperature controlled transport!

This year the Escola offers new technical courses for professionals. Innovative and pioneering in Europe, they have been created with the double objective of offering complementary specialized training and contributing to the participants’ professional growth.

The first course of the year, from the 20th to the 24th of February, “Port operations and maritime trade logistics: solutions for solid and liquid bulks” will focus on planning, organisation and use of ports resources, especially for bulk cargoes management. Different handling modes and top level services for port users will be presented and the Port of Barcelona experience will be illustrated as a model of port management.

From the 20th to the 24th of March, it will be the turn of the training session dedicated to a growing sector: maritime groupage. In the course “Groupage and Consolidation Centres”, the participants will get to know how groupage works, its actors, market segmentation and trends. They will also learn how to hire and manage efficient door-to-door groupage operations.

Finally the course “Temperature Controlled Supply Chains” will take place from the 19th to the 23rd of June and will focus on temperature controlled logistics. The participants will observe firsthand the infrastructures, equipment and regulations applicable to perishable products transport.

Eminently practical, these technical courses are based on the reality of the sector. All lecturers are experts and each course includes visits to facilities and operators.
