Students from Puerto Rico introduced to intermodality by 2E3S

This week the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping (2E3S) has organized one-day course on the Introduction to Intermodality in Barcelona. On the 19th of June a group of 15 students from Puerto Rico who participate in Barcelona School of Management – iDEC´s training programme had a chance to discover the city port’s infrastructures and its commitment to intermodality and short sea shipping.

The Introduction to Intermodality course aims to introduce professionals and students of logistics, transport and international commerce to intermodality, by introducing the primary modal interchange hub: the port. It is eminently practical: a concise visit to the port of Barcelona is carried out, accompanied by detailed explanations of the port infrastructures. The training is then completed by an explanation of the said infrastructures in a classroom environment.
