The new website is divided into two main sections that reflect the Escola’s Activities – namely Training Centre and Knowledge and Research Centre. It also follows a more interactive format- making it easier for our students and alumni to learn more about the Escola, intermodal news and to leave commens and thoughts about past courses – therewith letting other visitors of the website know about their experience.
“The Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping has existed for over eight years, and we thought it was time to go with the modernize and update one of our main means of communication – our website” – says the director Eduard Rodés. “We have evolved, and are now able to offer a wider variety of courses as well as participate in pan-European projects that contribute to the development of intermodal transport in Europe”.
The main new additions are a more interactive and modern list of courses offered, including an upcoming course calendar which list all of the courses planned for the next term, as well as a section on the projects that the Escola partners with and Research Centres that are operational in the region. This will help ensure that the new website will also serve as an information point for students and professionals aiming to familiarise themselves with intermodal transport and the amount of information and research that is currently available on the European market.
